Hospitalization fee

Hospitalization costs include medical expenses, meal costs, and uninsured expenses.

※Details will be explained by a mental health and welfare worker (social worker).

If your medical expenses exceed the following amounts, you can pay up to the limit by presenting your medical expense limit certificate.

If you have a Myna Insurance Card

You will be exempt from paying any amount exceeding the patient co-payment limit without applying for a certificate of coverage.
※Meal costs and other uninsured expenses must be paid separately.

If you do not have a Myna insurance card

You will need to apply for a limit application certificate.

  • The "Limit Amount Application Certificate" must be applied for at your workplace that issued your health insurance card (My Number Insurance Card) before or during your hospitalization. (It will take several days for the certificate to arrive after you application procedure.)
  • If you do not present the certificate of limit application, you will be required to pay the full medical expenses yourself and will be able to use the high-cost medical care benefit system at a later date.
  • Please present the issued "Limit Amount Application Certificate" at the general reception desk.

Meal expenses

Please note that dietary treatment costs during hospitalization are not eligible for reimbursement for high-cost medical expenses.

※ If you have a discount certificate, please submit it at the reception desk. (If you do not submit it, the discount will not be processed.) Also, please note that if you stay for more than 90 days, you will need to go through a new long-term procedure.

Payment methods for hospitalization expenses

For hospitalization expenses, we will send you an invoice at the end of the month, arriving around the 15th of the following month. Please pay by the end of the month at the hospitalization accounting counter (1st floor, West Wing). (Payment by bank cash card or various credit cards is also accepted. Please ask the hospitalization accounting counter for details.) Alternatively, please use a bank transfer. If you use a bank transfer, please make sure to transfer the money in the name of the hospitalized patient.
As a general rule, payment is settled on the day of discharge.

Uninsured expenses
Purchase a prepaid card (1,000 yen each)

A prepaid card is required to use the washing machines, dryers, and public telephones in each ward.

Cleaning fee

Washing machines and dryers are installed in each ward, so please feel free to use them.
If patients or their families are unable to use them due to their own circumstances, a contract will be made with a rental company and a separate rental application will be required.

Diaper costs and hygiene products (request form must be submitted)

If diapers are used, a contract will be signed with a rental company and a separate rental application will be required.

Agency administrative fee (requires submission of a request form)

The following non-medical agency fees will be charged only when requested by the patient or family members to manage pocket money and bankbooks, pay medical expenses, process related systems, declare national health insurance tax, pay taxes, etc., during hospitalization period.

At the request of the family or the patient, there are special rooms (additional beds) available at the patient's expense.

In addition to the general menu, hospital meals are also available with special menus that feature different staple foods.
As long as there are no restrictions necessary for treatment, patients can choose their preferred meal for an additional fee of 17 yen per meal.
